Over 750 Canadians and friends braved the heat to celebrate Canada's 145th birthday on July 1st at Rico Rico Beach.
At this sold out event, party-goers decked out in their Canuck best relaxed on the beach and enjoyed games, sports and Canadian beer. A big thanks to all those who came out to celebrate all things Canadian!

IMAX Signs Theatre Deal With China’s Bona Film Group
IMAX Corporation, a Toronto-headquartered entertainment and technology company will open four new theatres in China.
In cooperation with Nongken Bona Film Investment Co. Ltd. (Nongken Bona), a subsidiary of China-based Bona Film Group, IMAX will open its new theatre in Tianjin on September 2012.
iMAX will also open three new theatres in Changzhou, Lishui and in Guangzhou.

Two Canadian Plays to Debut in Shanghai
Supported by the Québec Government Office in Shanghai, two Canadian plays, Alice and At Nightfall will debut in Shanghai.
Alice in Wonderland, a multimedia musical production will be on from August 2-3 at the Shanghai Lyceum Theater. More information.
Meanwhile, the Sursaut dance company from Sherbrooke, Quebec will present At Nightfall on 11th August in Shanghai City Theatre. Described as "dreamlike" At Nightfall is a contemporary dance drama for families who want to experience the art of movement at its finest. More information.
The Grand Hyatt Shanghai Team Dedicates June to Community Service
The Grand Hyatt Shanghai dedicated June as the official month of community service and it was a fantastic success. The Hyatt Thrive Initiative celebrates both the Grand Hyatt team and the surrounding provinces they live and work in. During the month the team participated in a range of activities including "Celebrating Our People week" to celebrate Hyatt's employees, took part in a skill competition, a river side fun run, enjoyed a special menu served by the management team with a daily cake from the pastry boutique and shoulder massages. Throughout the month the team at Grand Hyatt Shanghai organised a clothing drive and collected 530 items of clothing which will go to the Red Cross Society of China, Shanghai branch to help those who need it most. The event has become so popular that it has now become a bi-annual tradition.
