General FAQ
Is our data backed up in case of an emergency?
Yes, backups are written to a 7TB RAID 5 array every night. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency and our uptime is over 99%.
Is Mad Mimi reliable, secure, and confidential?
We take many precautions to keep your information safe and secure. Our state-of-the-art server cluster is located in the Atlanta NAP and professionally hosted and managed by Railsmachine. Our network and data center is an industry leader in redundant data configurations, physical security, power backup, high-end network routing equipment.
Do you provide support?
We sure do. We provide fast, knowledgeable support by phone, email and chat. Each query gets handled by a company owner or lead developer. We do not outsource our support overseas or employ low paid, unqualified support staff. We do our best to respond to every question within just a few minutes of receiving it.
Are there signup fees? Termination fees? Any hidden fees?
Definitely not. We don't charge signup fees, termination fees, or any additional fees. The price you pay is simply the fixed monthly fee based on the plan you've chosen.
How does your refund policy work?
Mad Mimi is a month-to-month, pay-as-you-go service so we don't provide refunds. You are billed every 30 days for the service. You can cancel the service at any time and you won't be charged again, but you are responsible for any charges already incurred.
Do you have special pricing for non-profits, charities, or other groups?
We believe everyone is entitled to the best possible price we can offer. Those are the prices you'll find on the signup page. Our prices are among the lowest in the industry (our regular prices are actually far lower than many competitor's special non-profit pricing).
Is Mad Mimi available in other languages besides English?
At this time the Mad Mimi interface is only available in English, but we do allow UTF-8 character sets so you can enter content in many languages including Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese.
What is SSL and will it keep my information absolutely secure?
SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. The protocol allows Mad Mimi to securely communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or communications forgery. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions. In Mad Mimi's case, SSL keeps your communications absolutely secure. Find out more about SSL.
